This project has been revised to be more selective. It uses a ground loop to eliminate noises generated by the onboard AVR.

What is it?

This radio can sweep the whole band in AM or FM Mode. Its a great addition to the ghost hunting kit.

This radio scans the band frequency and between the channels produces the noise known as “white noise” to allow for spirit communication. It uses a milli-second adjustable Forward or Reverse frequency "sweep" technique. The range is between 50ms to 600ms in steps of 9 or 10khz step on AM. The FM and AM Bands are available. The AM mode has been configured with the widest AM bandwidth 520 TO 1710 Khz. Thus more radio detail can be heard, it will be clearer . The FM mode covers the range from 64 to 109MHz. A ten step adjustable sweep rate provides user flexibility based on individual technique and session circumstances. An OLED 128X32 display for viewing in the dark. The radio uses a PP9 9Volt Battery (not included).

Why did you make it?

A friend of mine asked me if I would built him such a radio. thus I had the si47xx setup and did some prototyping versions and had to cycle revisions to improve the design since it uses a very small PCB.
