This is a prototype/project board for the ESP866 Wemos D1 microcontroller.
Why did you make it?
Lately, I have been working on several IoT projects for my home. I needed a board powered by an external power supply from 5, 9, or 12 volts, with a series of I2C headers to connect sensors or an OLED display easily. The board has a small breadboard to solder a few components for the project.
What makes it special?
It makes it easy to prototype and deploy IoT projects. An external wall wart can power it; it has up to 4 I2C headers and a UART header.
The board comes with the SMD components for the power supply already installed. The board doesn't come with the Dupont headers. For example, this is what I use for my projects.
