Overview

The Reflowduino32 is an add-on module that plugs into a "DOIT" ESP32 development board to give it thermocouple and relay control interface via convenient screw terminals. This is especially useful in applications involving high-temperature monitoring and relay control, like in reflow oven applications. When used in conjunction with the Sidekick relay module it can easily be used to control almost any high-power AC appliance (such as a toaster oven) by following the provided documentation.

NOTE: The ESP32 development board is NOT included in this order.

Tech Specs

The Reflowduino32 is small but extremely convenient! It simply plugs into the ESP32 dev board and is designed so that you can still attach female Dupont jumper wires on adjacent pins. You can find all design files, schematics, code, and demo Android app on the Reflowduino Github page. Here's a look at some other details:

• Thermocouple Interface: Like the Reflowduino board the Reflowduino32 also has a MAX31855 K-type thermocouple IC on-board and a screw terminal provides convenient and secure connection of a K-type thermocouple (included in any Reflowduino32 purchase).
• Relay Interface: The second screw terminal provides an interface to a relay module (like the Sidekick) to switch the relay on and off with the ESP32 to control the reflow apparatus (toaster oven, etc). The default relay input voltage is 3.3V (works great with the Sidekick) but this can be configured to the VIN voltage (~5V with only USB connected) for relays that don't accept such low control voltages.
• ESP32 Pinouts: The board also breaks out the ESP32 pins so that the unused pins won't be wasted and you can still access them!
