What is it?

Back in the 1980s, there was a handheld electronic game called Simon. Simon had 4 lit-up colored buttons and would blink them in a pattern you had to repeat. Since the buttons were each molded in a different color of plastic, the relationship between the buttons and colors was fixed and immutable.

But what if that wasn't so?

With Симон, the 4 lights are RGB LEDs, so each button can be any of the four colors at any given moment. Симон has 5 levels of difficulty. The easiest plays the same as the old fashioned "Simon" game (though as you get further along, Симон will start to make two button "chords" that you must repeat by pushing two buttons at once). The hardest level not only makes the positions of the colors inconsistent when it's Симон's turn, but it also makes the colors move around while it's your turn to repeat the pattern!

Симон comes as a printed circuit board with all of the parts assembled and programmed. Two AA alkaline batteries are required and are not included. Optionally, you can order Симон in a 3D printed case.

What makes it special?

While other versions of "Simon" have been made, this is the only one where the colors are not statically defined relative to the buttons.
