Read More…A 7-Segment display module made out of 0603 LEDs, compatible with 0.56" 7-Segment display footprint. Comes in various colors: Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, and White (Pink and Purple coming soon). The LEDs share a common anode (that's the positive voltage), and they come in standard 0.56" (14.22mm) size, and they are pin-compatible with many other 7-segment display modules that are available on the market (such as FJ5161BH).
We love those tiny little SMD LEDs, and wanted to see if it would be possible to create a compatible 7-segment display by cramming a bunch of 0603 LEDs onto a tiny PCB. It turns out that it's possible, and it even looks pretty good!
These 7-Segment displays were originally created for displaying the player score in our STM32F072-based Simon game board, and as we liked the result, we decided to share the design so others can include them in their projects as well.
