This is the ultimate breakout-board for the Teensy 4.0 Microprocessor

It breaks out most of the major functions of the Teensy into discreet connectors with the required supporting circuity and has a has a small footprint of just 57x63mm with 3mm mounting holes. It uses a flexible mounting mechanism for the Teensy that allows it to be removed for use in other projects.

MAJOR FEATURES

Power

• Onboard 5V power regulator provides 1A of current with input voltage from 7 - 15V DC
• Onboard CR2032 battery holder for maintaining time and date
• 2.1mm barrel jack
• 2mm Molex connector - included female connector and pins
• Can be powered via Teensy USB port
• Mosfet to prevent back-powering Teensy USB port

Serial Ports

• 7 6-pin serial connectors that use the standard FTDI arrangement

I2C Ports

• 3 4-pin I2S connectors with 3.9k pull-up resistors
• pull-up resistors can be disabled via solder-jumpers

SPI Port

• 5-pin SPI connector

CAN Bus Ports

• 1 Full-Duplex CAN connection with transceiver
• 1 Half-Duplex CAN connection with transceiver
• Both CAN connections have 120ohm termination resistors available
• Termination resistors can be enabled via solder-jumper
• Can bus transceivers have voltage divider in-line with Teensy CAN RX pins to protect Teensy inputs

USB-Host Port

• Vertical USB-A port with power switching circuity and 4.7uf capacitor

MicroSD Card Port

• MicroUSB port with capacitor
• Tested up to 600Mhz Teensy 4.0 CPU speed
• Supports SD, SDFAT and uSDFS Arduino libraries
• Requires 8-Pin FlatFLEX cable installed (included)

OTHER FEATURES

• On/Off button
• Most Teensy IO connections broken out to headers
• GPIO pins 34-37 are NOT broken out to headers in order to prevent interference with SDCard port

This board is sold unassembled as a kit for self-assembly. All surface-mount components are pre-installed but the buyer will have to solder all headers and connectors to the board. If a Teensy 4.0 is added to the order, the 8-pin FlatFlex connector will be installed on the Teensy prior to shipment.
