I wanted to make a simple PBC that would help also become a fundraiser for charities to help with COVID-19 related remediation activities. We've all been impacted by this in one way or another, and this device is a way to help remember who we are, who we lost, and what we've fought for.

This project is comprised of 18 LEDs that are charlieplexed with an ATMEL 841 MCU, and 5 resistors. There's a shield that comes with it so that you can add a stand alone battery, and a PCB spot to make it a SAO for other badges.

Below are notes for the kit version

Assembly is straight forward; on the back solder on the 5 resistors, then the ATMEL, and then the 2x3 pin header. Flash the bootloader to the chip via the Arduino IDE. Then solder on the green LEDs in the middle, and the red LED's on the outer. Flip over again, and solder on the shield with coin cell battery holder. Easy peasy.

Animations are various blinking patterns and the RNA sequence mankind is researching to defeat it.
