What is it?

This Eurorack module enables mid side processing. The top portion of the module converts left and right stereo signals into mid and side components for filtering or other effects. The bottom portion of the module converts the mid and side signals back into left and right stereo components.

Why did you make it?

To allow independent processing of Mid and Side elements of a stereo signal. This eliminates the need for precise left and right channel filter matching.

What makes it special?

In addition to regular mid-side processing, all inputs and outputs are DC coupled so the module can be used to combine control voltages in interesting ways (sum, difference, average, etc.). The module uses professional audio quality amplifiers which are both fast and have low noise insertion so the module imparts minimal color to the processed signals.
