What is quadropus:

quadropus provides a bridge from single USB (USB-C) to 4x Serial.

You can use it for monitoring and/or programming Devices - and in particular you can do both. Plug it into your host PC and you will have 4x virtual COM (serial) Ports available. Per serial probe you have separate 2.54mm pinheader holes with RX/TX/RTS/CTS/GND. RX and TX have an activity LED each.

quadropus is utilizing Silabs CP2108 Chip, a big brother of the very common CP2102 USB/UART Chip. quadropus is using the same driver - so likely no separate driver installation is needed on your system. Silabs is very good in keeping their drivers up to date and recent, good driver support have been a major design criteria choosing the Bridge chip.

Instead of using 4 separate dongles (USB/UART) this is a single Host USB connection.
Driver Support is excellent for all major OS like Windows, Linux, OSX.
Next to RX/TX you also have RTS/CTS available - which you can easily control from the host using a script. - - That way you can easily using those 2 as "GPIO" to trigger something on the serial side.

What's in the package:

Fully assembled, programmed and tested quadropus board
4x header pins (5 pins) with different colors
4x cable set (2 cables each) with different colors. Cables have small test hooks

What is OPTIONAL:

Softbox with Zipper for storage and transport, 75x75mm. Keeps quadropus safe and warm when you carry it around
Pre-soldered pin headers (4x 5-pin headers are included) - we do the soldering job for you.
3D-printed protective base plate (see pictures). (STL and FreeCad Files provided for free)

NOTE:

Pin rows come unsoldered (you can order them pre-soldered as option)
Test hook on cables are soldered to the cable
A USB-C cable is not included
Probe cables are ~30cm

Excellent development tool

I was puzzled by the difficulty of the task of finding a more-than-single USB to UART adapter, and by pure chance I came across Thorsten's Quadropus. It fitted my needs perfectly: finally I can get rid of the nest of cables that multiple single adapters and an USB hub made on my desk, and I can interface with my projects in a cleaner way.
I was worried by the lack of 5V outputs, but indeed this allows me to not worry about drawing too much current from the USB bus or mistakenly mixing inputs with outputs, which is a nice thing.
The probes seem to use decent quality cables, not the cheap unsolderable kind.
The package was very well padded, everything was sealed inside antistatic bags and wrapped tightly in antistatic bubble wrap. And it even included a handwritten thank you note :)
