Description

The SD-606 is a TR-606 snare drum clone in the Eurorack format, packaged in a small 2hp form factor to minimize used space on your rack. It supports additional functionality not available in the original TR-606 drum machine as well as features that make it more suited to the Eurorack format:

Accent (AC) CV / Gate (GT) Input: The accent input allows each trigger to have a different accent setting for more dynamic drum tracks. The SD-606 has two selectable accent modes: AC CV mode and AC GT mode.
- AC CV Mode: AC CV mode allows the Accent setting to be modified by an external analog CV input. The AC trim setting acts as an offset for the AC CV input voltage.
- AC GT Mode: AC GT mode allows the Accent effect to be gated (On/Off) rather than continuously variable, similar to the functionality of the original TR-606. The AC trim setting sets the accent amount for gated beats.
Tone: Adjust the tone of the drum - wide range of selectable snare pitches.
Decay: Set the decay length of the internal noise generator.
Internal Gate to Trigger Conversion: No need for an external converter - the module responds to only the rising edge of a gate signal and creates a 4ms timed trigger pulse. This avoids double triggering on the falling edge of a longer gate signal.

Top tier service & a great module.

The module sounds great, is the perfect size for my needs and simply can’t be beat for the price even in DIY! Any complaints I have are really just nitpicking. Was a fairly easy build, I messed something up somewhere though.

That said, my email about it received a quick reply & they took great care of me to make sure I very quickly ended up with a working module. 10:10 will buy more from Drachma in the future.

Very easy build even without documentation.

The kits were sent via first class mail and arrived in two days.
Kits are nicely made, complete with real Alpha pots, and easy to assemble. Some care with component placement is required. So far I have built a Mult and a 606 BD and I plan to try the other module kits from this vendor next.
