What is it?

The Solar Mason Jar depends wholly on the sun for power, which ultimately means it saves you more energy, and you don’t have to worry about unplugging once it is fully charged because the battery automatically stops charging once it’s full, and as long as the solar panel is facing the sun, you can rest assured that it will charge and ultimately give your garden a colorful illumination. The project is based on a cheap LED driver chip QX5252F in the TO-94 package.

How does it work?

Once the sun begins to fade into the horizon, it automatically switched on leaving your garden with colorful rainbow light.

The solar lamp is a standalone SPV system and contains four components of Standalone SPV system: 1. Solar Panel: Convert Solar Energy to Electrical Energy 2. Controller: Charge the Battery ( Charger ) and drive the Load ( Driver ) 3. Battery: Store the Electrical Energy 4. Load (LED): Provide the desired light output

The DIY kit includes the following items:

1 x Bare PCB
1 Set Components for assembling the PCB
1 x Pair of Battery Terminals
1 x Solar Panel ( 2V, 58x58mm )
1 x LED ( White/RGB/Candle)
2 x Sets Of JST Connectors Note: Battery is not included in the kit. You have to buy it separately, any AAA NiMh/NiCd battery will work.

Projects involving batteries will be shipped Ex-batteries due to IATA regulations.
The offerings from Open Green Energy are shipped from the "Republic of India". The prices shown for the products here are customs/ taxes/duties excluded. NOTE: The buyer has to pay for the customs/taxes/VAT solely if any levied on the order.
Projects involving Solar Panels are shipped with Solar Panels only if the option is given in the product page and selected while checkout.
