Introducing the Smart Plant - the ultimate device for monitoring your plant's health! With the Smart Plant, you can measure a range of parameters such as soil moisture, ambient light, and air temperature & relative humidity.

Equipped with IoT capabilities, this device can stream the measured parameters directly into your favorite platform like Home Assistant, allowing you to keep an eye on your plant's health from anywhere. You can also view the data directly on the integrated 2.9" e-paper display, making it convenient for you to check on your plant's health at any time.

Features

ESP32-S2 module. Since it is based on the extended ESP32 microcontroller you can upload the ESPHome firmware and connect it with your Home Assistant setup or simply upload your own Arduino codes.
Embedded sensors. Stop worrying about having to connect multiple sensors to measure your plant's health. On the Smart Plant, you have all the sensors you need already on a PCB.
Simple and clear. Check out quickly your plant's state on the 2.9" e-paper screen. You can program your own data layout so you have everything you want to see at first sight.
Log your data. Measure and send your data to your cloud (or domotic setup like Home Assistant) for long periods of time. Thanks to the deep-sleep features of the ESP32 microcontroller, the battery can last several weeks.
Open-source. If you have any questions or suggestions about the design, just check out all the documentation and design files on my Github

Battery: You can buy it together (not every post service allows the shipment of batteries) or acquire on your own any 1000mAh battery no bigger than 50x34x5mm in order to fit in the designed enclosure.
3D Printed White Enclosure: You can buy it together or use the design files available on the documentation to print it yourself.

Amazing product. Really ingenious and well resolved.

I was looking for some way to monitor the moisture in the soil of my plants.
With Smart Plant I have been able to control not only the humidity of the soil, but also the temperature and humidity of the air and the amount of lighting.
Communication with Home Assistant is very well resolved. It will allow me to automate the irrigation system using some Shelly relay devices.
The benefits are very good. Installation is easy even though I have no experience with ESP devices.
And thanks to the built-in screen, the use is simple, intuitive and pleasant. It is not always essential to go to consult the home automation system.
The documentation is correct, but also Jon's support help is very gratifying.
I'm going to play with the settings and with the parameters to configure other plants and I'm sure I'll be able to use Smart Plant on more plants in my garden.
I am delighted with the purchase.

Awesome product, easy to get working, great communication!

Bought this smart plant monitor to monitor a lemon tree on my balcony. Printed the enclosure myself and got it powered on and connected to my WiFi very easily where Home Assistant immediately recognized it. Had a little trouble figuring out how to store custom files and configs on the device with ESPHome but that's just because I am not an expert and is no fault of the device. Luckily an email and quick reply from Jon got me sorted out and running smoothly! Looking to purchase a second Smart Plant in the near future as it is the most well-rounded solution I have found to integrate into my smart home.
