ESP32 Ethernet Shield

is a small form factor board that adds 10/100Mbps Ethernet to your DIY projects. It can be used with any ESP32 based project so as long the pinout described below is free in your project. It also works as a Shield with ESP32 WROOM 16MB USB-C D1 Mini32 form-factor board or other compatible boards.

Board is powered with 5v and it has an onboard LDO 3v3 regulator to power the LAN7820 IC, Board logic levels is 3.3V!

Configuring your ESP-IDF or Arduino projects please take the following into account:

Set the type to LAN8720
RMII clock is sourced by the ESP32 so set it to ETH_CLOCK_GPIO17_OUT
The LAN IC is powered off by default, it needs an enable (HIGH) signal on GPIO5, then the board will supply power to the LAN IC.
The Physical Address (PHY Address) for the IC is 1.
