Awesome version of a classic!

This Atari Punk Console (henceforth, "APC") is a stellar version of a classic design.

I was first interested in the APC via someone else's DIY kit. Upon digging further, I came across yet *another* different kit featuring more control options (touch-pads; photo-resistors). And again, my internet rabbit-hole went deeper, until I found the Ubld.it Atari Punkr Console kit. This was exactly what I'd been after: an APC of fine design, with incredible timing options!

Caveat time: The kit came with no instructions, instead directing to an online how-to with a handful of typos. [Note to UBld: I'll GLADLY proofread your guides, in exchange for kits. I'm a cheap partner!] However, once I'd gone over the parts list and how-to, everything was sorted and completed quickly.

On to the finished unit: It rules! My intention is to use this APC with a sampler. Even without said device, this APC is crazy-fun and definitely worth the price.

In closing: If you're new to DIY synth kits, APCs, or just soldering parts together for fun...the UBld Atari Punkr is (upon completion) an incredible device with myriad sounds at its disposal. You won't be disappointed!!

Fun item to build and use

I bought this kit for two reasons. The first was because I had recently read about the Atari Punk Console. It seemed like an interesting concept that I wanted to play around with. The second reason for the purchase was wanting some experience with soldering and assembly. I can say this was a great entry point with the documentation that was provided. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase. There was also an issue where the USPS had temporarily lost the package. It showed as delivered, but was nowhere to be found. I contacted the seller and was responded to right away with suggestions. After notifying the USPS, the package made it to me. I would definitely considering buying from this seller again!
