Digital Mosaic is an original design inspired by the classic 7-segment display mixed together with stained-glass windows and a healthy dose of steam-punk stylistic. The thick, rounded-over segments give a sense of calm and warmth. Its yellow glow works well in a living room and even better in a home office.

A well-placed clock is both useful and a pleasure to look at.

You need to be careful with the placement though, as it requires to be plugged in with a USB-C cable and charger (not included, sorry). It has a small battery but it's only used to keep the time when not plugged in.

Display

Kit assembly

Enclosures arrive with heat-set inserts already in place.

Front

Prepare the front half of the enclosure, two display modules and 4 short screws.

Place display modules in the enclosure. Make sure that the left one (while looking from behind the display) has the address selector set to 00 and the right one is set to 10. Gently fasten the screws - too much force might damage the display module

Back

To assemble the back of the clock prepare the control board, USB-C cable and 4 short screws.

First, push the white plug of the USB-C connector cable through the enclosure wall. Next, press the connector in place - it should fit snuggly. Finally, put the white connectors in place.

Close the enclosure and use the last two (long) screws to mount it in place.

3D Print

All enclosures are printed with PET-G material on my Bambu printer. I take care to only ship enclosures that look great and have no defects.
