Upgrade your vehicle's engine without the hassle of replacing the entire ECU, or drilling your inlet manifold for an adapterplate. The 1.8 to 1.6 Engine Swap Module is a solution designed to effortlessly adapt the signals from a 1.8 engine to work seamlessly with a 1.6 ECU.

Why is this needed:

The 1.8 throttle position sensor (TPS) won’t talk to the 1.6 ECU, so you must retain the 1.6 TPS (if you retain the stock ECU). Also the 1.8 IAC valve runs on a different frequency than the 1.6 IAC. The current ways of swapping yout 1.6 engine with a 1.8 is:

• Getting an adapterplate for swapping the 1.6 throttlebody to the 1.8 engine. Doing this requires you to drill holes into your manifold.
• Either swapping the ECU for a standalone or a full cable loom with a 1.8 ECU. This is expensieve and will cost a lot of time

Using this kit you can overcome the TPS and IAC problem, by converting the signals so the 1.6 ECU is able to talk to an 1.8 throttlebody. You will have to splice some wires for this. But unlike the drilling method this one is easy reversable by using the reverse adapter cable, when you still decide to switch to an standalone ECU.
