A Recreation of the Original Atari Punk Console using only Discrete Components.

This is a recreation of the famous "Atari Punk Console", redesigned to not use any integrated circuits. That means the heart of the original Atari Punk (the 555/556 IC) is missing! In its place are 85 individual components. Not only is this a really fun project to put together, and a beautiful art piece, but it can also be a great intro to digital logic gates, electrical components (passives and transistors), and synthesized music!

This is a kit that you will have to assemble yourself. It features entirely through-hole solder joints that can give either amazing practice or an extensive intro to soldering. While the soldering is not the most difficult, it will likely take about 2 hours to put together due to the 234 individual solder joints.

This kit comes with a booklet. The booklet has information on how to put together the kit, tips and tricks, a detailed explanation of how the atari punk works from both an electrical and musical point of view, an intro to digital logic, and a bit of history on the atari punk console
