What is it?

This is an ESP32 development module pre-programmed with Grbl_ESP32. Grbl_ESP32 is a CNC control program. In addition to normal CNC features, it also has a built in web server, so you can control your machine via phone or web browser. You can also update the firmware via WiFi, so upgrading is easy.

When placing an order, be sure to give a basic description of your machine in the Additional Instructions section at checkout and verify the following settings.

• Describe the controller it will be plugged into.
• Number of Axes
• Do any Axes use (2) motors
• What type of spindle are you using

If you do not specify a machine, it will be programmed in a test drive mode. This creates a virtual CNC machine you can try. It enables Bluetooth and the WiFi WebUI. It also allows future firmware upgrade via Wifi upload.

Why did you make it?

While programming and uploading firmware to an ESP32 is not much different than programming an Arduino, setting up the development environment is a little more involved and takes a little more time. This module is pre-programmed and ready to run.

What makes it special?

Grbl_ESP32 is a free and open source project. I am the creator and lead developer of Grbl_ESP32. Open source hardware projects are very expensive to develop, test and support. Profits from the sale of these programmed ESP32 modules directly support this projects.
