Read More…This is an input CNC I/O Module designed for use with the 6 Pack Universal CNC Controller. It is a lower cost alternative to the "bulletproof" 4x Input Module. It can work with simple mechanical switches, opto interrupt switches, some proximity switches, Hall effect sensors, etc. The inputs would be used for limit/homing switches, probe, control switches and macro buttons.
It has a 3 position connector per switch input (Signal, Gnd and V+). Each input has an R/C filter and Schmitt trigger to help with noise related false triggers. The +V voltage is jumper selectable between 5V or your primary input voltage.
It is sold as a partial kit. All SMD parts are soldered. You just need to solder the through hole parts. The kit comes with 3 pin 0.1" pitch headers for the switch connectors, but you can also use JST style or many other 0.1" or 2.5mm pitch connectors.
The design is open source and documented on GitHub
