This is a simple SOT-23 mosfet breakout to 0.1" holes, with the same pinout as TO-220 FETs, with an integrated gate-source pulldown (or up) resistor. SOT-23 MOSFETs are readily available with much better performance at low Vgs than through-hole transistors - the selection of MOSFETs in through-hole packages that work below 4.5V on the gate is very poor. With these high performance SOT-23 MOSFET breakout boards, you can switch loads up to several amps directly from your 3.3v - or even lower - projects, without having to solder tiny SMD transistors. Suitable for connection to 0.1" pin header (and from there, into breadboard), KK-100 connectors, any other connector with pins on 0.1" centers, or to directly attached wires.

Sold in panels of 6 (with a discount on 24+) - the panel can be easily broken apart by hand. Pulldowns are 10k. Solder mask color may vary, but we expect to be using red for the foreseeable future We have recently optimized the design of this board, shrinking the outline, and allowing us to switch to v-groove panelization (so the group of 6 is easier to snap apart and looks better). We will be building new inventory on these and transitioning to them throughout the next year or so.

w are now additionally offering the newer higher density SOT-23 fet breakouts. Two version are available, one with a footprint suitable for the smaller sot323 and 523 and the other with a footprint suitable for SOT-89

• SI2302: max. Vds=20, Vgs +/-8, 3A continuous, Rdson 0.037 @ 2.5Vgs. (note: this is almost certainly the version in that datasheet, made by MicroCommercial Corp. They are considerably less expensive, but I cannot distinguish their performance from the original Vishay brand.)
• SI2301 - P-Channnel: max. Vds=20, Vgs +/-8, 2.4A continuous, Rdson 0.115@2.5Vgs (note: this is almost certainly the version in that datasheet, made by MicroCommercial Corp. They are considerably less expensive, but I cannot distinguish their performance from the original Vishay brand.The data suggests that the MCC chips might even be better
• DMN1019: max. Vds=12, Vgs +/-8, 4.6A continuous, Rdson 0.041 @ 1.2Vgs. 9.3A continuous, Rdson 0.01 @ 4.5Vgs (white) - Limited maximum voltage, but turns on with as low as 1.2Vgs, handles insane current with 4.5Vgs, with very low Rdson.
