This 80 column card plugs into an expansion slot on an Atari 1090XL or 1091XL Expansion System to provide 80 columns of text out through an HDMI connector. While not compatible with an XEP-80, the Raspberry Pi Pico provides partial emulation of the XEP-80. On-board firmware provides a built-in handler for the card so no external drivers or handlers need to be loaded. At this time, this card is known to work with text-based software that utilizes Atari's Operating System for input and output with this card.

The card requires a separate HDMI TV or monitor to be connected. When connected, this card will disable the normal video output. Booting the computer, while holding down the shift key, will disable this card.

When installing the card, this card requires it's own, unique, device ID. This device ID can be changed by moving the jumper on the card.

This item is hand assembled on an as-needed basis and may require up to several days until it can be shipped.

Please note that one of the pictures shows this card installed in a 1090XL board. The 1090XL board is not included.
