What is it?

This is an enclosure I designed specifically for the new Raspberry Pi 3. It is laser-cut from cast acrylic and comes in a variety of colors. The design utilizes aluminum standoffs to support the enclosure and hold the Raspberry Pi in place (this prevents the acrylic from coming under pressure that could crack it when tightening the screws - a typical problem with other acrylic project enclosures). There is 1" of interior height above the RPI for other circuits or shields. The top of the enclosure is vented, and the sides have cutouts for access to all front/side and MicroSD card ports.

Includes all hardware to assemble, including stainless-steel finish screws and aluminum standoffs.

Also Includes the hex wrench needed to tighten the socket-cap screws!

Great case, good value

The case is very well made. Everything fits together just right. I'm not using it for a Raspberry Pi. It's for a project I built using a WeMos D1 Mini and an OLED display. The case is the right size for it, though, and I managed to use most of the holes and cut-outs.

I didn't bother contacting Marty to see if I could get this case with no holes or cut-outs. That way I could just cut the acrylic myself exactly where I needed an opening for my switches and connectors. But this case did the job and I didn't want to spend the extra time waiting for a custom order. The case was shipped quickly, it arrived here on the west coast of Canada in a few days, and it didn't cost very much.

The included hex wrench is a nice touch. I have my own, but I'm sure lots of Raspberry enthusiasts wouldn't.

Really good value for the money. Judging by the quality, I'm sure a Raspberry Pi would fit very well.

Great communication regarding customization

I asked if the Raspberry Pi3 enclosure be modified slightly so that I could include a "floating" shield for my LinuxCNC / PICnc board. After making sure he fully understood what I was trying to accomplish, he emailed me an image of his proposed modifications. From the time of my initial query to actually having the modified enclosure in my hand was under 1 week! I can't say enough good things about the service, and the beautiful result.
