Use the Apple-1 Software Library and pick your favorite program, or use a terminal application (like Minicom). Transfer BASIC or Mini-Startrek to a (real) Apple-1 in 30 seconds, at a speed of 57.6 kbps. Compatible with Uncle Bernie's TurboType™ format and includes a CRC check. The interface can be used with USB to RS232 cables, or connects with a COM-port of an older laptop.

The regular keyboard of the Apple is passed-through and can be enabled any time using a toggle button. Enjoy games, experiment in 6502-assembly or BASIC. Write software in a favorite editor and simply copy-paste it over to the Apple-1. Use it with an Apple 2 by flipping over the adapter socket on the backside. This board is inspired by earlier work done by Mike Willegal.

Important for Apple ][ users, please note that the KST is not meant to be an alternative for ADTPro. The KST uses the keyboard socket for communication, while ADTPro uses the cassette interface, or a serial interface inserted into an expansion slot. The KST does not support the loading of disk images, use ADTPro for this. However, the KST can be used to transfer / auto-type bytecode (using the System Monitor) or BASIC code. The ADTPro program can be started and controlled remotely on an Apple ][ by using the KST.

Use control characters together with terminal scripts or macro's to automate demonstrations of an Apple-1 or Apple ][, handy for museums or for public events.
