This is an LCD backpack but it is for the smaller displays with the double row of pins rather than the single line.

I made this adapter as I was working with some small displays and needed a simple way of connecting it to a microcontroller. There are plenty of adapters for the standard single row displays but I couldn't find any for the smaller dual row displays

This adapter works with existing libraries built around the PCF8754 shift register

This adapter comes with the surface mounted parts fitted, the pin headers will be included but not soldered. The input is four through hole connections with a 0.1" pitch. Wire can be soldered directly to these pads or a connector can be fitted

If your display doesn't have a backlight make sure you mount it correctly ignoring the left 2 pins, an example of this is shown in the attached picture. I have found one display which has the backlight pins as 1 and 2, in this case you will need to mount the adapter with the display pin 3 lining up with the adapter pin 1. The backlight pins will then need to be wired into the adapter with two wires.
