Details

On board micro USB 5pin interface.
On board button for PB5.
- 6-pin version will be using it as a custom function switch.
- For example: short press for the customization function, long press sw-reset function.
On board power red led and PB1 green led.
bootloader micronucleus v1.11 5-pin or 6-pin version.
- 6-pin version: you will no longer be able to use ISP programmers with the chip.
VR accepts 5.5 ~ 12V input (reverse protection).
VS is a 5V output.(automatic selection)
- USB powered can provide 350mA with PTC protection.
- Ext. powered can provide 150mA with current limiting and over-temperature shutdown.
Reserved USI-I2C pull-up resistors for PB0 and PB2(PCB backside).
PCB size: 29.8 x 15.2mm (breadboard friendly).
No need to connect any circuit to start writing software, a custom function buttons and a custom function LED lights.

Nice board - a bit hard to get things rolling

First I have to say this board is really worth the money. Super small pre-programmed Arduino compatible Attiny85 with micro USB and shipping - all this under $4. However the documentation is a bit sparse, and getting this to work with OS X included some serious head scratching. This blog post pointed me to right direction.

Great product. Make sure you know how to use.

Have bought several of these in different batches. They're well made and great value for money. Only improvements I can suggest would be with the documentation, but if you're buying these you should be able to find it elsewhere.

board did not work .

I bought 2 boards. the boards were not cut to separate pieces.
they probably were not installed with bootloader, since hitting boot button did not cause the led to blink.
they did not work on mac - os/x were not recognised as usb devices.
left a comment on the product page. did not get an answer.the comment was erased
disappointed.

Micro-USB problems

Great product, but the micro-USB port is not good: it gets loose after a few times, and because you need to disconnect in order to upload your sketch, this is a big problem. In fact, HID USB device is no longer recognised, even if I can still upload sketches (but with more errors).
Ladyada Trinket, which has a mini-USB port instead and a reset button (no need to disconnect then) seems to be more robust. I need to try out.

Great little board

I bought two of them hoping they would save me some time compared to buying just Attiny85 and soldering them along with other components. When they arrived I was amazed! For such price I never expected such quality.

Fun to play with, but had difficulty with drivers for window

The component works as expected. I got it working with atmel studio and arduino after downloading DigisparkArduino and DigisparkWindowsDriver and after a lot of trail an error i found that you had to use the drivers ziped inside DigisparkWindowsDriver-> _DriverFiles.zip. for windows 8. Someone should make proper windows 8 driver.
I uploaded the TinyQED I2C Quadrature Decoder sw and with some pullup resistors i was able to get get my encoder count to my arduino mega via I2C.

This is great!

I'm the founder of the Micronucleus bootloader project. When I saw these I had to get a couple. After playing with them a bit, I'm really pleased by the surprisingly high build quality for such an aggressively priced product. I think this is better than the Digispark, because it ships with a more recent bootloader containing important bugfixes, and because it works more nicely with breadboards and has a much better USB connector. I think it's better than the Trinket because the bootloader is much more compact, giving you quite a lot more space for your programs, which is really important as these little tiny chips don't have much to begin with.

Really great product at a really good price. I'm looking forward to never having to solder up one of these circuits by hand again! If there was one thing I could change, it'd be a clearly marked area for disabling the power LED. Aside from that, seems brilliant! Good to see Micronucleus helping make arduino-like devices available in more affordable forms ^_^
