The microMIDI MKI is a programmable MIDI controller that lets you control your MIDI capable devices and software just like you would with a real analog pedal.

Most MIDI foot controllers available are too basic, offering limited programability, or are too large and expensive. The microMIDI from Blackaddr Audio is compact, measuring 4.77" x 2.58" and offers a compelling set of features.

The microMIDI sends MIDI "Program Change" messages on preset changes, and MIDI "Controller Change" messages when pushing switches and rotating knobs.

Basic Features

• OLED graphics display for displaying a rich set of visual information, and easy navigation
• two stomp switches for navigating presets and toggling effects
• two pushbutton switches built into the knobs available for additional effect toggling
• three knobs for changing incremental parameters such as volume or gain
• external 1/4" jack allows overriding Knob B pushbutton with an external footswitch*
• save each switch and knob setting individually for all 24 presets

Extended Features via Programming

• Windows application for building customized preset lists with user-defined names and effect labels
• individually control each pushbutton as latching or momentary operation per preset
• change the MIDI CC code used for each control per preset
• override Knob B pushbutton with an external expression pedal*
• enable software-based MIDI-THRU capability

*external pedals not provided

Programming Requirements

The microMIDI is pre-programmed with preset names "Preset 1 - Preset 24" and with all controls enabled, and all switches set to latching type. You do not need to program the microMIDI in order to use it.

To customize the microMIDI and access the Extended Features you must program the device using the free Windows microMIDI App and a compatible USB-MIDI device (not included).

It is recommended you download the free Windows Application and try the "Loopback Test" procedure in the manual to determine if your USB-MIDI device is capable of sending MIDI programming (SysEx) messages.
