Basic configuration is board only. For including ESP8266 (NodeMcu) and current meter, select them from the options, when you buy.

Why did you make it?

I needed to monitor power consumption at my house. Now I can see it in real time, per day/week/month/year.

Good to measure apparant power

The device is good to measure the apparent power (VA).

If you want to know the "active power" or "real power" (W), which you pay for, you might need a slightly different circuit / device.
