What is it?

The DNR Enterprise PowerBrick Ver 2.0 power supply is designed to meet the advanced needs of today’s electronic hobbyist.

The many features include two (2) voltage selectable regulators; LT1084 or AZ1084 supplying +5V0 or +3V3 at 5 Amps Max/4 Amps 80% continuous operation. Two fixed output voltage regulators; +5V0 at 5 Amps Max/4 Amps 80% continuous operation and +3V3 at 250mA to an expansion header to provide power for logic shifter modules and/or power connections for USB-A or 2.5x2.1mm barrel connector and other feature modules.

Why did you make it?

Born out of frustration when in the early days of working with various development boards and attempting to have them powered and communicate with each other.

What makes it special?

Multiple power connection options:

• Under board pins power standard breadboard rails with three possible options GND (0V), +5V0 or +3V3.
• A 5A regulator powering a USB-A connector that provides ample power for a Raspberry Pi or Asus Tinker.
• Terminal blocks on three (3) of the 5A regulators for bare wire connections.
• Socket headers connected to each power supply to connect jumper wires if desired.
• LED indicators on all power sources; input and outputs.
• Tap barrel connector on the supply to permit jumper of the 12V to another device.
• Reverse polarity protection diodes on the high current regulators and input power connections.
• Mounting holes connected to ground and screws long enough to clip on alligator to make quick common ground connections when needed.
• Expansion Module header for optional level shifters and/or additional power connections.

• Test points to check voltages.

• All 5A regulators are adjustable to permit the hobbyist to select a different output voltages if desired using different resistors.

• Manufactured using 2oz Copper PCB material for higher current operation.
