What is it?

This is an Arduino Uno shield that will hold a 400 tie point breadboard. It’s a great solution for hobbyist and professionals that work on multiple Arduino projects without needing an Arduino for each project. Since your using a breadboard there is no soldering or one time use boards. Simply detach the shield from your Arduino Uno and your Uno is now free for other uses. When you want to go back to that project simply plug the shield back in. You can avoid dismantling circuits to work on other projects. It also makes project more portable, no need to remember what was connected to the Arduino. It can also be used on the Arduino Mega but you will not have access to all of the ports via the shield. If there is demand I can come up with a shield for the Mega also.

Why did you make it?

I build many circuits some are refined over time and need to be kept around. Sometimes I need to work on other circuits and I don't want to dismantle the circuit. By putting in on a shield with a breadboard I can put it aside and use my Arduino for other projects. When I want to resume the project all I need to do is plug it back into my Arduino and reload the code. I often spend time trying to remember how a circuit is connected before I can start using it again. I also find this handy when I want to have multiple versions of a circuit.

The shield measures:

• 94mm x 72mm x 11mm tall (without Arduino attached)
• 3.7in x 2.85in x 0.4in tall (without Arduino attached)

• PCB (lead free)
• 3 Buttons (2 tall one short for reset)
• 4 LEDs (Red, Yellow, Green and Blue)
• 4 Resistors for the LEDs
• Header Pins (Female) to wire circuits
• Header Pins (Male) to attach Arduino

• 400 Point Breadboard (See add-on option)
• Arduino Uno
