What is it?

A portable hand-held game console programmed with CircuitPython, authorized by Radomir Dopieralski, perfect for game programming and electronics workshops. When connected to a computer, it comes up as a USB disk with all the source files on it. You just edit them and when you save, the device restarts and runs the new code. There is also an interactive Python REPL available as a serial console, for displaying errors and trying out commands. The device also exposes seven GPIO pins that can be used for connecting electronics, such as neopixels, a speaker, sensors, etc. Since it's the same CircuitPython as used on Adafruit devices, most of their drivers will work out of the box.

What makes it special?

It has been optimized to remove as many obstacles as possible between you and learning to make games. It needs no additional software installed on your computer and it's compatible with all hardware that supports USB disks. It doesn't have a complex operating system and you can't possibly break it, other than physically damaging it or perhaps connecting it to mains voltage. Even damaging it is difficult, as it's very sturdy and the display is plastic, not glass. the board is fully assembled and tested before shipping, customers can plug it to PC USB port, and begin the programming on it.

After a few hiccups, got the toy

It's a lovely toy; I enjoy Othello and the way they've made it support 3 colours (with flash, that makes almost 4).

There was a hiccup with shipping - instead of PewPew I received the Word Clocks. Word Clocks are good, too. In the end I've got the toy I wanted, so everything's good.

Loads of fun

Seller had a trouble with shipping company, which delayed delivery, but was resolved without me lifting a finger.

I really like the thing.
You can play stuff out of the box, easy to program, has some GPIOs to hook up external stuff.
When not playing, it's a great micropython starter kit with basic user IO included, for unbeatable price.

Excellent, inexpensive, and professional

This is an amazing device with enough input and output to get you to learn programming easily. The samples on the device made it easy to see how the library works to make your own games. Very impressed.

Circuitpython with display

Inexpensive, CircuitPython device for less than a burger-with-coke!

It works straight out of the box preloaded with a few demo games. To program it, connect it using MicroUSB, and using ThonnyIDE one can effortlessly run your CircuitPython programs on the device. When connected to USB and powered on, it exposes a removable drive, which you can copy files-to-from the device, such as Adafruit libraries.

So why CircuitPython? its actually derived MicroPython. practically the same, but Adafruit has added a lot more devices, libraries.

Even cooler than last time

These things just get better and better! This batch came completely assembled and tested, with a different battery holder that doesn't leave exposed wires. Just add 2 x AAA and we're golden.
