Does what it says on the box...

Great little item. I have many Nixie clocks but I wanted to put a classic Jeff Thomas NixiSat in our hall where there is no GPS signal.

The NWTS works perfectly, replacing the Haicom 204III GPS puck. (the version with a 6-pin mini-DIN connector - this was already an upgrade from the original oncore GPS that cam with the clock 20 years ago).

It's powered from the Nixie clock taking about 80mA. Set it to 4800,8N & RS232 with only $GPRMC sentences once a second (which is what the NixiSat needs).

Certainly will buy more of these.

Good product

Excellent product, easy installation and setup.
Works perfectly with my Nixieworld IN-18 Blue Dream and TubeHobby clocks after modifying the connector.

Excellent product

I have now already 5 of these devices and it works perfect.
It came now with the latest firmware and everything is fine.
There are only few such devices on the market and this one is the universal one. I hope that Manuel`s friend will continue this excellent work. Thank you

Item did not work for my clock. I've tried to contact but..

Item was not the right connection for my clock. I've tried to contact them but no response which is very frustrating. Guess I should have researched and bought from someone else that would better support the product they sell.

The Tindie support page also doesn't show any open request on until 12.07.2020
We are tryed to contact you throw the email since the day you posted here 16th June using your registered email on the purchase.
If you look closely to the product pictures page you would find out the connector type. It's also explained on the manual.

I bought this marvelous thing. instead of 2.5 version, i got 2.21 version "forever missed". ok, i will solve somehow, but i emailed to azevedo but no answer. best regards.

The latest version is 2.21. It may be confusing in the past as the minor version is just a standard decimal numbers increase (0)5 < 21

A Really Great Device

The kit arrived quickly and was easy to put together. Once assembled it was a simple job to configure it with its intuitive web interface and it has been rock steady ever since. I have used it with a number of different PV clocks including their SN model and they have all picked up the correct time almost immediately. Highy recommended!

Pretty slick device

Arrived in Canada within a week. The kit was trivially easy to put together and worked first time, so I never really had to contact anyone. The clear case is pretty slick. I love the fact that it will automatically adjust for daylight savings time. I really like the PV Electronics clock kits, but their NTP sync board would often lose sync. This device has a pretty spiffy user interface, and has been rock solid, both with my LAN NTP server and with pool.ntp.org.

Great product!!

Easy to assemble with great instructions.
Works with my Akafugu VFD clock with a special cable and with my GRA-AFCH Nixie (https://gra-afch.com/catalog/shield-nixie-clock-for-arduino/nixie-tubes-clock-arduino-shield-ncs314-for-xussr-in-14-nixie-tubes/) using the supplied cable.

Excellent value for the money!

The nwts works like a charm. I have it connected to a PV Electronics QTC clock. The nwts was shipped quickly after I ordered. It took a little over three weeks to arrive here on the west coast of Canada.

It took about one hour to assemble the kit and it worked the first time. The manual has very detailed assembly instructions, although putting the kit together is pretty straight forward.

What impressed me the most is the detail that went into the software. I had no trouble getting the ntws set up on my WiFi network and it was completely functional after that. But the webpage it serves has an extensive set of options if you want to customize the operation. Everything from what time server it checks to any Daylight Saving Time rules your location might have.

The acrylic case is pretty slick, too. Everything fits together very precisely. I picked the clear one so I can see what's inside.

The little ESP8266 WiFi module the nwts is based on is pretty amazing. I have a few of them and was thinking of making something similar to nwts. But it would take way too long to match the quality of the software. Just spend the $39 and buy one! Even with shipping and the exchange rate, it's still a deal.

(14) NWTS Sync Units on my Clocks

I have a lot of clocks. It's a hobby. The NWTS unit allows me to move my clocks away from the windows and GPS and now allow me to put them anywhere a WIFI signal is available. They work well and have some features that allow you to sync clocks from different designers.

Here is the real bonus with these little gems: They have the ability to take care of time changes for those of you that live in areas that recognize Daylight Saving Time. Each NWTS has a built-in menu to select the offset (can be any number of hours, minutes) and your days of needing to change from Standard time zones to Daylight Saving Time are over! Additionally, the NWTS will allow you to tweak the time by a few seconds if you are trying to match clocks that always seem to be different by a few seconds due to how they process the time signal.

The NWTS is the universal time base that makes all of your clocks show the right time, all of the time. I highly recommend them! Also, make sure that you get a case. I like the clear cases and they protect the circuits while looking nice.

Great little product.

My large Nixie clock used to get its timing from a GPS module, but at my new address I could not get a decent signal. I tried this WI-FI module, and all is good! The instructions for the assembly are very clear. I had a few problems setting it up - but that's just me. However, I got a lot of help from Manuel, and soon had it running OK. Easy build, excellent documentation, very nice design!

I've wanted to use a GPS tube clock at my desk at work for a long time but have been unable to do so with no GPS sky view. This little widget allows my tube clock to function at my desk without GPS access. Very nice idea, very nice new capability, works great! Highly recommended.

Delivery was fast from Zurich to California... Order placed *and shipped* on the 7th, kit received on the 17th. Initial assembly took me 30 to 40 minutes only because I'm slow and super clean with my builds... the kit is easy to assemble, I'm just not a fast builder. The manual supplied on-line is well written and easy to follow. Nice attention to component installation order, builder attention drawn to places where you might get careless, etc. Lots of pictures as well.

We found one minor firmware issue with the nwts feeding my Jeff Thomas GPSII. The bug was quickly found and fixed and the fix will be in the next nwts code release. I like having development/programming tools for the programmable widgets in my life and ordered an "ESP Flasher Rev4" by AprilBrother - also here on tindie. This or a similar programmer will be needed to install firmware upgrades.

You might also consider ordering a plastic nwts case from Manuel here on tindie. Quick to assemble and a nice way to protect the otherwise exposed circuit assembly.

Amazing product!

The nwts is an amazing idea! It eliminates all the problems that come with either DCF Receivers or all the different GPS Reciecers. The nwts is a perfect solution for sync a nixie (or any else) clock with time.

- Easy and quick assembly
- Very easy configuration
- Even worked in my managed, custom-ip network, where a lot of other devices failed to work
- Small size
- Fair Price compared to a bulky GPS-Mouse

This even works out-of-the-box with the TinyGPS++ library for arduino.

I defenitly recommend this product and will use it in the future again!
