What is it?

A 7805 (TO-220) pin compatible breakout board featuring a 1A 3.3V regulator called AMS1117-3.3 with input and output filter capacitors.

Why did you make it?

I was encouraged to make this simple board after encountering many students using 3.3V modules like the ESP8266 and others directly from the arduino 3.3V supply (which is strongly discouraged) or other improper sources. An AMS1117 is a standard when it comes to medium power 3.3V modules and ICs. Now you have a tiny board for 3.3V supply even on a breadboard.
