Hello
I am an Automation Engineer with over four decades of field experience in many industrial projects worldwide, with particular emphasis on developing custom electronic devices for assembly and production lines.
Officially “retired” in late 2013, I actively worked on several small European automation projects. However, I live in Canada, thanks to the flexible tools provided by the internet (video conferencing, remote control, etc.). The companies I work for are not big ones with fat budgets for R&D; in fact, the opposite is true, meaning that the development cost, as well as the price of the final product, must be reasonably low.
One positive result of this low-budget environment is that all final devices are low-cost, and they might be helpful for a wider community of DIYs. The goal of this site is to sell them at an affordable price and help the users to use them to their satisfaction.
I expect only a few products to be available for sale, although I will add more as new projects develop. Also, I am open to suggestions to modify existing designs to improve their performance or suitability for specific applications or develop new ones that may fill an existing gap (in fact, that’s what I usually do all the time!).
You are welcome to look around, ask questions, leave suggestions and, eventually, purchase anything that suits your requirements.
