This is a 3W LED module that includes a built-in MOSFET for brightness control using your favourite microcontroller or single-board computer. Simply hook up a 5V power supply with enough current (1A is plenty), then connect a PWM-capable I/O pin and common ground on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.

Great, powerful little LED modules!

Awesome little LED modules that you can use in about any project. Essentially converting the star-shape LED to 0.1" headers, with a transistor to made PWM driving easy. Hooked it up to a random dev board I had and even with a fairly weak 5V supply they were blindingly bright. Was also impressed that the designer put a hole in the back, meaning you could add a copper slug pressed directly on the LED backing to get good heatsinking if you wanted to push these hard. Great design, good communication, and unbelievably fast shipping!
