Introduction

The QK-AS02 is an entry-level two-component mobile VHF Antenna.

Includes a 5m RG5 8U Co-axial cable which connects using a male BNC connector to the VHF/AIS receiver of your choice. The whip is partially sprung to provide increased flexibility and durability and is coated to reduce corrosion. Ideal for outdoor applications needing a sturdy, movable antenna. Suitable for boats and other vehicles.

Choice of base mounts:

Magnetic base mounts very simply to any horizontal ferromagnetic metal surface using a strong magnetic base. (15 mm/5/8” magnet depth, 40 mm/1.5” overall depth) 5/8” /15 mm antenna mount

Clasp mount connects to vertical or horizontal railings or bars with a maximum of 200mm diameter. 180 degree positioning.

While the clasp allows for connection to railings, please note, this is not the recommended location for VHF antennas, as such a low placement will affect reception and range. We recommend placing your VHF antenna at height and away from salt water spray.
