Read More…I build cricket and rugby scoreboards in the UK based on Arduino technology. A club I was supplying a scoreboard to had a very specific requirement rather than use the standard Bluetooth control I offer (good for up to 50 metres) they wanted a wired switch box (10 switches) to control the scoreboard from 100 metres away. Time was of the essence and I didn't have the opportunity to experiment with near-field transceivers or RS485 modules. I read the all the forums I could find and came up with the board I am selling here.
It's basically a hard pull up 10k in my case (you may need different values) 100n cap to ground and a series 100R resistor in each of the 10 switch input lines. For me, this board worked like a charm. I used a thin 12 core alarm type cable unscreened, I even tested it on the drum and still no spurious switch inputs.
You are buying a BARE PCB no components as you may wish to tune the values to suit your application.
