Fully assembled, high quality switched rotary encoder pcb, with onboard debounce circuit (using 0805 surface mount components) for very positive output and pull down resistor on the switch contact (held low until switch is made). The encoder is a high quality Bourns rotary encoder, with 18 clicks per revolution (20° rotation per click). The encoder shaft is .236" (6.0mm) diameter with a flat. All components used are traceable European stock and RoHS. The pcb is a quality pcb, red solder mask, hot air levelled and lead free. All soldered joints are made using lead free solder. This level of quality demands a slightly higher price than the cheap far eastern boards available, but time has been invested in overcoming the issues associated with the cheaper encoder boards. The pcb is 1" (25.4mm) square, with 4off 1/8" (3.2mm) diameter corner fixing holes. Connections to the pcb are via a 5 way 0.1" (2.54mm) pitch header and the connections are V+, Ground, A, SW and B. The board works equally well at 3.3V or 5V Dc. A sample sketch for Arduino will be supplied together with hookup details on purchase. This board is not limited to use with the Arduino.
