Turn your Raspberry PI unto a universal remote or home automation system. The Bear board gives the Raspberry Pi a way to control infrared devices such as TVs, blu-ray players, stereo receivers and more. The board has seven outputs for infrared LEDs and an IR decoder for recording IR signals from remotes. The outputs are powered by a darlington driver chip with resistors to provide approximately 50ma to each LED.

The IR decoder is connected to GPIO 18 and all of the outputs are connected to a GPIO 17. The Bear board works with LIRC to enable the Pi to record and transmit codes.
