NOW with the option of a preprogrammed Arduino with the latest firmware, for those of you who dont feel comfortable programming microcontrollers.

What is it?

The SITH is an Arduino based Sample (or) Track and Hold circuit with a bunch of features. - Input can be internal noise, or +5v or +-5v - The output value can be tuned with a max and min knob that translates the input signal to a different range. - Manual hold button - Choose Sample or Track, when track mode is selected it routes the input signal to the output (through the min and max) whenever hold is not engaged. - The hold doesnt drift as it does in "analog" S&H, as it is held digitally. - In Track mode with Internal noise as input, you can use the module as a white noise module.

This is a DIY kit, you will have to solder it together yourself. Arduino IS NOT INCLUDED. You can get an Arduino nano from this link for less than 3$. I picked the "Nano Blue" color.

Why did you make it?

In my ongoing youtube series "Modular in a Week" I try to make good affordable modules, often out of the needs I have. When doing a video on how to use port manipulation to output higher resolution analog signals I thought this module would be a good way of showing a use for the technique, as it takes an analog value from an analog port (10bit input), and I then make it into a 10 bit output aswell.

What makes it special?

It is a digital Sample and Hold, which is very stable compared to traditional S&H It also have many more features than most other S&H modules I've seen which makes it more versatile.
