This is a Quick connect and release hose clamp with large active surface area that allows for low clamp (squeeze) pressure. Great for anyone needing to QUICKLY secure and release common hose. Also the clamp pressure is adjustable, just don't use more clamp pressure than is needed to secure the hose pressure.
In my business of importing, modifying, selling and repairing Plasma Cutters & TIG welders based upon Inverter Technology. (Notice how I subliminally advertised my main products)... I got tired of dealing with the slow and annoying process of securing the machine air hoses at our product test stations. I needed to be able to quickly secure the air hose reliably to handle 70 psi pressure and just as quickly release when tests are finished. So... I decided to spend a little time to design a hose clamp to meet my demands... and it turned out great!
Click this youtube link and watch this video to see how easy it is.
No more finding a screw driver and meticulously tightening the screw clamp only to find it's not tight enough and having to re-tighten only to find it required much more than thought was needed and in some cases eventually strip the threads. Arrrgh! #%$^&*@
This design provides much more clamp surface area, that allows minimal stress on the clamp itself and easy clamp and release.
It works great!
