This makes charging your project just as easy as charging your smartphone. Simply connect your battery to the two pin header, connect a standard 5V micro USB power supply, and your battery will be charged within a few hours. The circuit charges your batteries at a rate of 500 milliamps per hour, so it is recommended that your battery has a capacity greater than 500mah, otherwise you risk damaging your battery.
This charger circuit supports single cell 3.7V Lithium Ion Batteries, preferably with a capacity greater then 500Mah
This charging circuit is based off of the MCP73831 charger IC. If you need to find out more about how this circuit works, please read its datasheet. This project is 100% open hardware, download gerbers, schematics, and kicad board files on my Github.
Never leave charging batteries unattended. Batteries can catch fire or explode
There is no difference between the purple or white PCBs. They function the same.
