Good looking board but needs manual

I was expecting to get some sort of manual with this. Even a sheet of paper with part numbers on it would be nice. It is hard to order the right sized parts if there is nothing to tell you what to order. I can measure the pads and then go to Digikey to compare sizes but it would be nice if the board just came with descriptions. Also some of the parts are not listed in the description online, such as the inductors.

Great PCB but parts are difficult to get.

I really like the PCB but i had issues getting all the parts. From germany without an creditcard it is really difficult to get all the parts from digikey. An additional parts kit or an fully assembled option would be really nice.

Yes, the parts have been more challenging to get for some people than I had originally thought.

Once the next revision is complete I'm hoping to sell them as a full kit or assembled unit.

Great product

I purchased two of these boards as my first, real surface mount project. The boards are great and the tutorial on Instructables was terrific. The only recommendation that I would have would be to better indicate on the silk screen the polarity of the SMD diodes, LEDs, and the orientation of the ATMEGA chip. By using the schematic, some references on-line, and the data sheet for the ATMEGA chip, I think that I got it all right. Will find out tonight when I try to install the firmware.

Yes, you are correct, the markings can be a little hard to make out!

The cathodes of the leds and diodes have little 45 degree corners and the chip has a 45 degree slop in one corner to match the one on the atmel.

I will certainly improve those on the next boards.
