Read More…This is an expansion card for Apple2 computers, aimed at machines which only have up to 48kB of RAM (or less), and are missing the upper 16kB of RAM, which are mapped to the address space $D000-$FFFF and called Bank Switched RAM (BSR). The card fits in any 50-pin slot and is P&P out of the box. The card does not require any removal of DRAM chips from the motherboard and connecting to the motherboard via a ribbon cable.
The card has 8 banks of 16kB, which are managed via the soft switches through addresses $C0N0-$C0NF, N = Slot # +8
WARNING: The card must not be used on computers with 64kB of RAM or more, as the circuitry will clash with the existing BSR. To be installed in Slot #0.
