Mainly for battery equipment - to switch on/off loads. And to protect batteries from deep discharge as low voltage monitoring is also available.

Has 'soft start' feature - ideal for high capacitive loads. These models has FET in 'back to back' topology. For those who want to switch off current in both directions.
