Read More…This item consists of 4 x LEDBright BS-AB24RI Common Anode 7 segment displays with a digit height of 1.2" mounted on a PCB with connectors for each segment (multiplexed together) and anodes of the individual LED displays for connection to a microcontroller using multiplexed display driver circuitry. There are mounting holes for mounting the display PCB to a chassis or case assembly.
The LED displays have 2 LED chips per segment whilst the decimal point has one so forward voltage is approximately 3.65V for the segments and 1.8V for the decimal point. The LED's light up with a bright red colour. I found they need 18-20mA of forward current to light these with good brightness so you are going to need a driver circuit that can provide a decent amount of current. You could use something like a high power shift register for the segments and MOSFETs for the digit drivers.
