The Car Base Board is a printed circuit board (PCB) designed for a robot car project that provides a base for the BlackPill a USB stick board and headers to external devices. The headers provide a strong and organized method to wire connections to external devices (that avoid a rats nest of wires typical in development projects.) The ports permit the mounting of popular wireless communication devices.

The product is only the PCB. The BlackPill, chassis, the devices, wiring and battery are not included. However the low-cost BlackPill, wires/cables and many low-cost sensor boards are available from popular retailers. The PCB provides a base controller that combines devices to monitor, display, communicate and control a robot car.

The photo gallery shows pictures of the plain PCB, a power management diagram and two different robot cars built using the Car Base Board. Additionally different sensors, power devices and motor controllers are attached showing the flexibility of the board.

The BlackPill can be programmed in STM32 C code, Arduino code, or MicroPython. The product's Source Code includes working examples written in MicroPython for popular devices.

If there is interest then an add-on product containing the devices, wiring and chassis will be offered.
