The Antipodal Vivaldi antenna, also known as the dual exponentially tapered slot antenna (DETSA) forms part of the end-fire tapered slot family of antennas. It has several advantages compared to the single exponentially tapered Vivaldi. Probably the most important being its compact size, simple feed and pattern stability.

Our APV-2458 antenna is purposely designed to cover dual-band WiFi and BT frequency bands 2.4-2.5 GHz and 5.0-6.0 GHz with average gain figure of 7 dBi. Design provisions multiple mounting holes as well as different board edge, right angle and vertical SMA and RP-SMA RF connectors options.

One of the pictures above shows a possible project arrangement - high-gain x4 APV-2458 array connected to our 4-way splitter/combiner. This project example can be extended to bigger arrays by utilizing our other splitter/combiner offerings.
