Read More…PCBs and optional FR4 front panel (only) for a dual log/linear voltage controlled amplifier synth module. This module is in LMNC's Kosmo format (20 cm high) and is 10 cm wide.
The circuit is based on a design by Ray Wilson (Music From Outer Space). This is a new PCB and front panel layout for Kosmo. Circuit is unchanged except for addition of Eurorack style power header and reversal protection diodes, and a normal connection from 1st VCA output to 2nd VCA input.
The user needs to source parts and assemble them. (Photo of my own assembled module for illustrative purposes only.) Easy through-hole construction.
You should be aware it uses a single through-hole LM13700 chip. These are out of production and not easy to find (although Tayda has them in stock at this writing). It may be possible to use an SMD LM13700 (still in production) along with an adapter board, although I have not tested this.
