This module is based on a Jye Tech DSO138 oscilloscope kit. Construction of the kit is adapted to make it serve in the format of a synthesizer module.
The main DSO board is mounted perpendicular to the front panel to minimize module width. The auxiliary circuit board provided here carries board mounted push buttons, switches, and trigger LED to replace those on the DSO board. Two input jacks are provided — one BNC, one 1/4" phone jack — with a switch to select. The signal from the latter is buffered and copied to another jack so the scope can be inserted into a patch without disrupting it.
Another switch controls power to the scope so the display can be turned off when not in use.
Power for the scope comes via a 9 V regulator from the Eurorack style synth power header.
The user needs to source the DSO 138 kit and additional parts and assemble them. (Photo of my own assembled module for illustrative purposes only.) Easy through-hole construction.
