The WP130x module is the multi function dial up modem module, supporting V.92 analog data modem operation, 14.4Kbps fax modem operation, TAM(Telephone answering machine) and speakerphone. The module have the the external serial NVRAM. This NVRAM can be used to store new country profiles, override existing ones or add customized firmware code. This module can support V.92, V.90, V.34, V.32bis, V.23, V.29, V.22, V80

Applications

1) Personal Emergency Response System (PERS), also known as Medical Emergency Response System. The system let you call for help in a medical or personal emergency. Systems include small transmitters. In an emergency, individuals initiate a signal by pushing a button on the transmitter that is wirelessly transmitted to a base unit. Base units are typically centrally monitored, can automatically dial pre-set numbers, activate a siren and enable remote “listening” and “talking.

2) Home Security Alarm Panel Alarm Panels are the center of a security system which use sensors to detect intrusion or fire in residential and commercial properties. Upon detection of an emergency event, the panel will sound a siren and notify a monitoring center through traditional phone line (PSTN), GSM, or broadband network to dispatch police, fire, or rescue personnel. In addition to using the PSTN to call the monitoring center using security standards communication protocols, the panel also uses the PSTN to allow speakerphone communication with emergency personnel and remote phone control functions.
